Mother

They say all good things must come to an end,

But never could I comprehend,

You leaving me, being just around the bend.

I watched your joyous smile start to fade,

I saw your innocent life become decayed,

And I saw you start to slip into the shade.

I rushed you in, but it was too late,

I saw you slip behind deaths gate,

It was then that I realized my own fate.

I cried for you, my tears like rain,

I just could not stop the pain,

I would never be the same again.

How could I live, when you weren’t here?

You had always been there, but now I fear,

That I might not cope, without you my dear!

I miss you already, I shall never love another,

For without you, how can I live, my mother?

Yet you will always be with me, some way or another.
