Kurdistan

Kurdistan
I moved to my home when I was 3 years old,
‘Twas early-summer, so not very cold.
My brother was 1 and my sister was 5,
And my baby sister was not yet alive.
We flew through the sky, as blue as the sea,
And I was as happy as happy could be.
The plane landed, bump!
In my seat I did jump.
I looked out the window and gasped a short gasp,
For I saw a sight that made me clasp,
My Mother’s right hand,
Looking out at the land.
It was all strange,
And something had changed,
From England’s green hills,
This gave me the chills.
For it was all yellow,
This grass was too mellow.
I heard a voice say kindly,
'It’s Kurdistan', I looked blindly,
At the place outside, now put to a name.
And though it will never be the same,
I started to beam,
For I knew that my new life would be sweet as ice-cream.

  1. This is great! And it's good the ice cream here is so cheap!

  2. My simple brain cells of dainty size can not expand to the point of understanding how such a divine piece of literature could be written. Shakespeare himself would fail to understand and obtain such large brain cell's such as the ones that are stored inside your genius melon.
